You Will Need

  • Oil for cooking
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 spring onion, sliced
  • 70g mushrooms, chopped
  • 50g kimchi
  • 200g cooked rice
  • 3 tbsp kimchi juice
  • ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 eggs to serve

Method

1. Heat the oil in a wok over a medium high heat before adding the garlic and other vegetables. 2. After a minute or so, add the kimchi and fry until it turns soft. 3. Add the rice and kimchi juice. Stir until the rice is broken up and evenly coated. Cook for another 5 minutes. 4. Add the sesame oil and remove from the heat. 5. If desired, top each portion with a fried egg and serve. This basic recipe is super simple but can act as a blank canvas for you to get creative with more elaborate recipes or ingredient combinations!
