Cooking With Salt Cured Egg Yolks

Salted egg yolks are yolks that’ve been cured in salt, which solidifies them and offers a whole new way to incorporate eggs into your dishes. These yolks can be grated, sliced or even mashed to add a rich garnish and pop of golden colour to your recipes.

While you can make your own salted egg yolks relatively easily, the curing process can take a while. The recipe below includes ready-to-use cured yolks, which you can find at your local Asian supermarket – or right here at Oriental Mart!
