If you would rather keep things simpler, then you can also use our wonton soup base mix powder that can replace the chicken broth, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil!
Substitutions and Variations
If there are ingredients you don’t have or don’t like in this recipe, then you can substitute them. Instead of the bok choy, you could use bean sprouts or spinach to add some variations on the veggies. Different types of mushrooms could be used instead of shiitake, and if you don’t like mushrooms, then an alternate veg of your choice can be used!
Instead of the prawn wontons, you could use frozen chicken wontons, or craft your own using wonton pastry and your choice of fillings. If you’d like the soup to be a little spicier, then you can sprinkle some red chilli oil into the soup for an extra hint of heat and flavour.
